Books:

  • i am the love letter: an index of every high school love poem i’ve ever written

"i am the love letter" is a love poem collection through the lense of a high school poet with tired hands and an endless heart. their journey through love isn’t a complete one (there is always more to see), but this grouping of poems provides a complete picture of a soon-to-end chapter of her life. their high school experience must be chronicled. here it is, love poems acting as language. prepare for the secondhand embarrassment and deep nostalgia with care.

Playwriting:

  • Portraiture

"Even things that are true can be proved." In his novel, "The Picture of Dorian Gray," Oscar Wilde makes this clear through his eerie plot of a high-society critic's manipulation towards a naive young model and his idealistic friend. Despite its setting in Victorian England, Dorian Gray's personal struggle is a timeless one: Should we always be saving our visions and selves from all costs and dangers? Or should we be open to being influenced by those we trust? Where do we draw the line? To find the staying power of "The Picture of Dorian Gray," Lillian Grace, one of the winners of the Elite’s Youth Playwriting Competition, adapts the novel for the stage and for a modern and accessible audience. "Portraiture" speaks to the deepest themes and secrets of Wilde's famous work: loneliness, blame, and the slippery slope of art into romantic but dangerous isolation.
